Team Coaching
The conversations your team avoids are often the ones that matter most.
The challenge
Most organizations invest in developing individual leaders. Yet the biggest challenges rarely sit inside one person. They lie in the connections between people, between teams, and between a team and those it serves. A group of strong individuals is not yet a team that leads together.
My approach
Systemic Team Coaching is a partnership with the whole team over several months. It works outside in, starting with what the team's stakeholders need, and future back, asking what the team must become to meet tomorrow's challenges. Behavioral science helps the team see the patterns it has fallen into, and build new ways of working in the flow of real work, in your actual meetings and on your actual challenges.
How it works
Scoping and agreement: we meet the team leader and sponsors, understand the context, and agree whether and how to proceed.
Inquiry and discovery: stakeholder mapping, confidential conversations with members, leader and stakeholders, and a team 360 where useful.
Shaping the agenda: in a workshop, the team makes sense of what it heard and co-creates its own development agenda.
Coaching in action: off-site workshops, coaching in your regular meetings, and one-to-one coaching for the leader and members.
Review and renewal: the team and its stakeholder rate the team's effectiveness again and decide what comes next.
What changes
A team aligned to what the business needs, leadership becomes collective, faster decisions, and habits that stick because they were built on real work. Engagements run from six to twelve months or longer, most between six and twelve.
Not team bulding
Team building is usually a one-off event focused on relationships. Systemic Team Coaching is an ongoing partnership on real business priorities, with your stakeholders involved, so change is anchored in daily work.
